ABOUT

METHODS AND INSPIRATION

RELATIONAL SOMATICS

We combine the newest research in neuroscience with traditional modalities

Our work connects sensory, emotional and cognitive experience using a range of methods. Many of these are adapted from traditional domains including Zen, breathwork and Eastern movement practices. In combination with contemporary disciplines, including Polyvagal Theory, Gestalt Therapy, improvisation, bodywork and active meditations, these are brought into a modern context. A host of other pioneers and provocative spirits are also important inspirations, bringing innovation, humour and play to our work. The result is a rigorous, grounded and joyful approach to learning and growth.

OWNERS

Relational Somatics was established by Sukhi Karlsen (NO) and Thomas Flower-Ellis (GB/SE), who have shared paths for the last 16 years.

The company operates from offices in Denmark, holding events internationally.

"Thomas and Sukhi create a beautiful and wise space where new paths emerge and new perspectives are born. It's a powerful combination that needs to be experienced. I highly recommend them, and their work."

WORK WITH US

We frequently collaborate with other facilitators in the field, have skilled assistants on our team and people supporting in organizing our events. We also have the most beautiful participants, who show up vulnerable and brave, and make it possible for this journey to keep unfolding.

We are humbled by the co-creation this work brings about. It is only when we dare to try, that it is possible to create this magic together. The nature of the work comes from seizing the moment, where plans often are readily discarded for the benefit of the present process.

It is a dynamic way of working, which allows for life to evolve. This is what makes it worth it for us. If you are curious about what can be created, we'd love to hear from you.
