TO THIS VERY SPECIAL ONE DAY INTENSIVE
Anger helps you to keep healthy boundaries, take action and implement changes. Its primary role is to keep us safe, so that we can keep expressing our nature and needs. Unfortunately it is also often a misunderstood emotion, and commonly associated with conflict. If we have an ambivalent relationship with anger, it is most likely that there are parts of ourselves that we do not trust. This might lead us to hold back on our communication and our presence in the World.
No emotion is good or bad, it is simply a messenger. When we suppress anger, we suppress its message. We suppress our self. Needless to say, this is not beneficial to our health, mental nor physical. On the other hand, being in contact with your anger does not mean ravingly and randomly expressing yourself either. Contact is about embracing the emotion’s power, so that it supports your life in a fundamental way.
This intensive is a deep dive into the resources of anger. We will look at the foundation for a healthy expression, and common ways that get us off track. We will work with self-worth and boundaries, so that you can expand and build on your relationship with anger in a loving way. We will also pay attention to what messages anger has for you and exercise the skills of listening. It is your personal journey, supported by experienced instructors and the group field.
Within a non-judgemental space, both mild and more explicit expression may appear. As it can be a sensitive topic, we will slow down, so that we can notice our needs and move at a suitable pace. This is a learning space where we allow curiosity to lead the way.
